We have just learned about Firstgiving, an organization that helps raise money for non-profits. We have thoroughly researched and verified the legitimacy of this organization. So we created a page in compliance with their standards and we are inviting you to help us spread the word.This is a very easy process, using the idea of social networking via the internet. The invitation is sent to friends, family, associates, etc telling them about our cause and asking for financial support. They make the donation on line and Firstgiving keeps 7.5% of the donation. The donor is emailed a receipt from Firstgiving for the donor's records and SAYCO is sent notification of donation made. Firstgiving sends us checks on a regular basis.You are welcome to create your own page and personalize it if you want or simply forward our page to your contacts. - Silver Age Yoga Community Outreach was founded in September 2003 by yoga teachers Frank and Serpil Iszak. By early 2004 the number of teachers participating in the program increased to 15, and a certification course was designed to provide those teachers with special skills needed to deal with the various challenges presented by the participating seniors. A curriculum, combining geriatric sciences with yoga practices, was designed and to date over 100 specially trained yoga teachers are actively participating in the program. They provide weekly yoga classes at over twenty senior centers at no cost to the seniors. Our classes are attended by an average of 400 seniors. The diversity of these classes represents the cross-section of senior America.
